Romania and the Schengen Area
As of 1 January 2025, Romania is a full member of the Schengen Area. Citizens of 60+ countries can enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This rule applies to the entire Schengen Area.
Required Documents
- Biometric passport (mandatory for Ukrainian citizens)
- Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond departure date
- Proof of accommodation and travel insurance (min. 30,000 EUR)
- Proof of sufficient funds for your stay
